A seven-year-old girl killed after falling from a moving car in the Northern Territory is remembered as a “daddy’s girl” who was “larger than life”“.
Kaylessi Roser and her family traveled to Top End from regional Queensland just three days before the horrific accident happened near Harts Range – about 215km northeast of Alice Springs – on June 5.
She fell into the car with her single father and others.
Kaylessi suffered serious head injuries and was first taken to the Harts Range clinic before being flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Her father, Kim Roser, said that his youngest daughter was a “daddy’s girl” who resembled him in appearance and personality and always followed him and wanted to help.
The father of six, 51, remembered Kaylessi as being generous, considerate of others, and loved adventure, exploration, and water activities.
“Everyone who met her fell in love with her. She was just bigger than life… and so daring,” he said.
“She took a bag of lollipops to school and shared it with everyone, even the kids who didn’t like her, and when other kids didn’t have any, she gave them her stuff.
“Everyone loved her, and she loved everyone.
“She was just a nice person, and this world will be much darker without her.”

In his grief, Mr. Roser reminded others not to take time for granted and make the most of life.
He said the family traveled to the NT to mine gems, rubies, and turquoise that would improve their lives.
The father said Kaylessi “always had to be first in everything she did” and believed she was rushing to get to the front gate at their destination when she jumped out before the vehicle stopped.
‘I do not know what happened. My car was about 3 meters from the gate. She must have jumped out the window just before we stopped.
“I put everything into this journey to get there to change their lives… but this destroyed us.
“I wish I could wake up from this nightmare.”

The family still has their car and belongings in the NT, but Kaylessi’s body remains in South Australia.
A GoFundMe page has since been set up to raise $10,000 to return her body to Queensland, fund her funeral, and support the family in the future.
More than $4500 has been donated to date.
The Yarraman Bowls Club is also hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, July 9ly, from 11 am, with all proceeds donated to Mr. Roser and his family.
