The father of three tragically killed by a drunk driver in western Sydney has revealed Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s wife, Jenny, has offered to stay with them to make his wife feel safe. After a break-in.

Danny Abdallah lost his three children, Antony, 13, Angelina, 12, and Sienna Abdallah, 8, and his niece Veronique Sakr, 11, when all four children were hit by a drunk driver in February 2020 while walking to get a car. Ice cream near Oatlands Golf Club.

The driver, Samuel Davidson, 31, was recently sentenced to a minimum of 21 years in prison after being found guilty of dangerous driving with a cocktail of drugs and alcohol in his system. He will not be eligible for parole until 2041.

During an interview with Mark Bouris for his Straight Talk podcast on Wednesday, Mr. Abdallah revealed that he had received a call from Scott Morrison following the conviction on April 9, 2021.

“I walked out of court, and he was the first to call me,” Abdallah said.

He said, ‘Danny, nothing will ever replace your children.’ But it was the highest death sentence, 28 years, they’ve ever handed down. He goes, ‘but this conviction was a good conviction’.”

Abdallah said the prime minister and his wife, Jenny, were “excellent” in supporting the family behind the scenes.

After the funeral of the four young children in February 2020, Ms. Morrison invited Mr. Abdallah and his wife, Leila, to their home.

She also offered to stay overnight at the Abdallah home to provide comfort after their family home was broken into just months after the deaths of their children.

“Jen calls Leila and says, ‘Listen, I’m coming to stay with you tonight, so you feel safe,'” Abdallah said.

“How humbling to see the Prime Minister’s wife reaching out.”

Abdallah also told the podcast that he received a text from Mr. Morrison, who keeps a photo of the murdered children in his office, the first Father’s Day after they died.

“Daniel, I’m thinking of you today on Father’s Day,” the caption read.

The Abdallahs, who welcomed the girl Selina into their family in March, said they were so grateful for their leaders’ support.

Mr. Abdallah also noted that former NSW Prime Minister Gladys Berejiklian attended the funeral for the four children and the one-year mass for all four children, calling her a “lovely lady” who was “very supportive and very loving”.
